About Us

Nature-Based Services is a part of the region's largest network of organizations that help businesses sustain themselves within healthy ecosystems. We support organizations across industries and a diversity of local communities across southern Ontario:

The next economy values nature.

Carolinian Canada has developed Nature-Based Services to complement an existing network of leaders growing healthy landscapes for a green future in the Carolinian Zone, Canada's unique far south.

In the spirit and practice of reconciliation, we connect science, community and business for healthy ecosystems and climate-smart neighbourhoods from Toronto to Windsor, Ontario.

Since 1984, we have been a leading ecoregional group in Canada. We work to support the Carolinian Life Zone of Southwestern, Ontario, which is among North America's most vibrant and fragile ecoregions. We bring together diverse sectors, people and governments to collaboratively steward southwestern Ontario's unique habitat network, green infrastructure to support thriving wild and human communities in harmony for generations.

Our cross-sector platforms connect 300 groups, 5,000 volunteers and 37,000 hectares to save local wildlife, water and our way of life while supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
